This year’s institutional project dealt with NWICO, New World Information and Communication Order. Our Secondary English Area worked with the students completing different tasks. Our Leveling teacher Claudia Salgado, created an educational web page where she uploaded the work of her students, as well as other students’ comments on the subject. Another group of students took the daring and creative initiative to put together a video and a newspaper. Their comments are included. We thought it would be great to hear about this project from them, since they took care of every little detail from start to finish. Congratulations to our script-writers, actors, editors and producers for their commitment, good vibes and excellent disposition.

What  students have to say about their work on the institutional project

This year’s project was on New World Information and Communication Order (NWICO) for which we had to make a newspaper and a news video. It was more complicated than we thought it would be but we really got to enjoy doing it.

We started by writing the script all together and then recording each part of the video in our free time, and also with the help of our teachers who were kind enough to give us some of their time so we could meet our deadline.

It was clear from the beginning that we had to be really committed to this project since it was up to us to make it happen.

Our experience while doing this newspaper and the video made us realize the importance of teamwork and cooperation with the institutional project.
